Why did you decide to run for office for the City of Greenwood?
I was asked by a friend to run for city council. After discussing it with him, he thought I would make a good mayor. I talked it over with my family, and the rest is history. I wanted to make a difference in the community, add more transparency to city government, provide better parks and safer places for our kids to play, and continue to keep our city a safe place to live.
What inspires you to be involved in the great community of Greenwood, Wisconsin?
Although I’m originally from neighboring Loyal, I have lived in Greenwood for more than 20 years. I think we have a beautiful city filled with and surrounded by a lot of good people, and I want to do my best to keep it the gem that it is today. In order to do that, we continue to focus on showcasing our city, trying to attract new business, and attempting to keep things affordable for residents and businesses.
