Why did you decide to work for the City of Greenwood?

I had two small girls and the office was one block from my house.  I have never regretted taking the position of Clerk-Treasurer.  It has been a rewarding job.

 

What inspires you to be involved in the great community of Greenwood, Wisconsin?

I love this community and the people who live here.  I want the city to achieve its goal – grounded and growing.


 

Why did you decide to work for the City of Greenwood?

I was working part-time at the restaurant and the pharmacy, and I was approached to see if I would be interested in working for the City of Greenwood.

What inspires you to be involved in the great community of Greenwood, Wisconsin?

I grew up near Willard, graduated from Greenwood High School, moved back here in 1991, and raised my family here.  It’s a nice little community to live in.

The City Clerk's Office keeps all of the official records for the City of Greenwood, including the agendas and adopted minutes of city government meetings and copies of Greenwood's ordinances. The City Clerk's Office maintains all of the voting equipment; collects, tabulates, and reports election results; and is in charge of all elections and polling places.

The City Clerk is also responsible for:

  • Issuing of municipal licenses as required by local ordinance and state statute, including alcohol, bartender, beverage, cigarettes, master / journeyman electrical, soda, housing, and plumbing licenses.
  • Maintaining special assessments for sewer and water, blacktop, curb and gutter, and special charges for property improvements.
  • Preserving all contracts, bonds, and oaths of office.
  • Publishing of all legal notices and filing and indexing all proceedings of the Common Council.
  • Safekeeping and maintaining all election records.
  • Registering voters.
