Mayor

The mayor shall be elected in even numbered years for a term of two years. The mayor is the chief executive officer of the city. The mayor shall ensure city ordinances and state statutes are observed and enforced. The mayor represents the entire city. Common Council

There shall be four alderpersons elected to the Common Council - two members from each ward. Each alderperson shall be elected for a term of two years. Ward One is the city area west of Main Street while Ward Two is the city area east of Main Street. There is no division between north and south within each ward. Hence, both alderpersons in your ward work for you, and you may address either alderperson in your ward or the mayor with any questions or concerns you may have.
